Being Seen: Equity in Action - A ConnectEd© Course for K-12 Academic Leaders

About

Despite historic investments in curriculum, tutoring, and technology, too many students are still not truly seen in our systems. Only a fraction of classrooms consistently deliver grade-level, standards-aligned instruction, and students from historically marginalized communities remain less likely to access rigorous courses, experienced teachers, and meaningful supports. The result: initiatives that look powerful on paper but never fully reach the students they were designed to serve—fueling initiative fatigue, fragmented systems, and stubborn gaps in opportunity and achievement. Being Seen: Equity in Action is a 6-module course for K–12 academic leaders that uses the ConnectEd™ Framework to turn equity commitments into a focused 90-day implementation plan. Leaders move through three integrated phases: 👉Connect the Vision – Clarify the why for equity, align priorities, and communicate a shared direction. 👉Connect the Systems – Audit and align the policies, programs, and tools that shape daily student experience, simplifying and standardizing what matters most. 👉Connect the People – Build leadership capacity, foster a collaborative culture, and celebrate and sustain growth so the work doesn’t depend on one person or one year. This course is for leaders who are tired of spinning plates and want a coherent, system-level way to ensure that every student is seen—in data, in access, and in daily instruction—starting in the next 90 days.
